Sculpture Objective:
In a sculpture workshop, I sculpted a scaled down study of a bison skull and wondered if I could somehow incorporate it into a larger sculpture. I realized that a road runner, our New Mexico state bird, was a subject I had never tried before. After working with the composition, I came up with this design. The viewer may have to really look for the lizard hiding beneath the bison skull, trying to outwit the road runner.
